Passengers using Nottingham City Transport’s Green 10 service off-peak this week will find themselves diverted – and perhaps not able to catch their bus to or from the regular stop – due to resurfacing work on its route.
From Monday 11th until Monday 18th February, each night between 18:00-06:00, Loughborough Road (between the Nottingham Knight Island and Boundary Road) and part of Boundary Road is being closed.
Ironically, the resulting “circular” diversion will see off-peak buses running from Ruddington village centre down Wilford Road – a route which lost its early and late Navy 3 buses just two weeks’ ago due to reductions in the timetable.
Here’s how the Green 10 is operating during the period of road closures:
Green 10, 10C, 10X
- Buses towards the City (departing Ruddington 17:45 – 05:45) will depart Church Street and then turn left onto High Street, continuing on to Wilford Road, right Landmere Lane, left Compton Acres and right Rugby Road. Stops on Easthorpe Street, Rufford Road, St Mary’s Crescent, Packman Drive, Ashworth Avenue, Loughborough Road (Village to Oakham Road inclusive) or on Greythorn Drive will not be served.
- Buses towards Ruddington (departing Angel Row from 17:30 – 05:45 inclusive) will use the full length of Rugby Road, left Compton Acres, left Landmere Lane to Clifton Boulevard, right at Nottingham Knight roundabout to resume normal route. Stops along Greythorn Drive and the Oakham Road named stop on Loughborough Road will not be served.
- Green 10X from Rushcliffe Business Park at 18:18 will operate via Kirk Lane to Ruddington, then right High Street to follow the same diversion as above
NCT advises: “Passengers in Ruddington towards the City should catch the bus heading to Ruddington and stay on the bus, but please check with the driver that the bus does not terminate in Ruddington.”

You will notice that the outbound bus stops along Wilford Road are shown on the map – and we can confirm the Green 10 will be stopping here during the hours it’s diverted. This means that, temporarily at least, Wilford Road has a very early morning and evening bus service to the City once again!
UPDATE 17th SUN FEB:
Resurfacing work has finished ahead of schedule – meaning that, from today, Green 10 is back to its usual route and stops.
